WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?
It's ALL about the VOICE!
It's all about LEARNING HOW TO SING -
Learning how to use the instrument without any problems, in the most natural way, without forcing, without vocal troubles and problems at various stages of singing and speaking and returning the body and the instrument to a technique which it knows as part of innate and instinctive birth-knowledge.
Miriam Jaskierowicz Arman, the Author of " The Voice: A Spiritual Approach to Singing, Speaking and Communicating" (4 Editions) is the originator of the coveted "Giro Vocal Motion Technique" (GVMT), which basically is the technique the Levite's (singers of the temple) employed in the 1st and 2nd Temple in Jerusalem.
This particular art of vocal production is the basis of all Bel Canto, (beautiful singing) and is, in the final analysis, the technique used by the greatest voices of our time.
Interestingly enough, this knowledge is thousands of years old but as so many other great things, has been lost in our 'Jet Age' way of living. Make it fast, leave it unfinished, sell it quick, use it up---make money - the motto of our time and the destruction of our talents.
It is the aim, the purpose and the mission of the Academy to return THE VOICE to it's purest state.
The use of vocal talent has been deteriorating in the past fifty years to the point, that we are accepting what we actually KNOW not to be great, but there simply is not anything else available. If you look at "America's Got Talent" or "Idol", "The Voice", you will notice, that anything which sounds like a "real voice" at any age, is automatically chosen by the audience -
Good, bad, or indifferent, the Voice RULES!.... and WHO ARE THE JUDGES????
Well, what the Academy is determined to accomplish, is to bring back the REAL SINGING, the beauty, the ease, the totally effortless way of achieving high notes, the elasticity of sound and the health of Voice.
Techniques that offer 'fast' solutions, belting, screaming, are not part of the plan - there are no easy solutions - it's about knowledge, working with the instrument, learning it and becoming one with it - and all of that at NO expense to the instrument itself -
There is no reason to wobble at 40 and the excuse of 'age' is no longer an option - the instrument was built to shine a lifetime - it CAN and WILL!
The mission is to bring back the BEST of the Voice and further the complete Re-education of singers and teachers around the world.
The place is TZFAT/Safed, Israel - A highly spiritual and beautiful place, conducive to re-associating yourself with the essence of what your voice is all about and re-connecting yourself to the knowledge of the ages in an atmosphere of comfort and learning which previously was not available.
Plans for semester studies and individual lessons, as well as master classes, are on the way and the Academy has formally opened it's doors and is already receiving students from around the world. We will be setting up affordable accommodations for students who plan on spending time in Tzfat and the place itself is conducive for many different kinds of studies, including Kabbalah as well as Jewish Spiritual Studies.
